Explaining the idea behind the project, Ather CEO Tarun Mehta stated, "Our first-ever concept vehicle is all about experimenting with a bunch of unconventional choices in engineering and design. The outcome is beautiful."

Along with the concept scooter, Ather will also introduce its new EL platform which it is based on at its Community Day event on the 30th of August..
This new EL architecture fromAther is intended to support a line-up of affordable electric scooters, blending a redesigned powertrain with updated electronics developed from the Ather 450 series.

Ather has stated that the EL platform has been built with scalability in mind. It is designed to lower costs while maintaining efficiency, which allows Ather to expand into wider markets both in India and abroad.

Industry rumblings suggest that scooters based on the EL platform will go into production in late 2026 or early 2027. These upcoming models are expected to be priced below Rs 1 lakh, targeting customers looking for value-driven electric two-wheelers.
