Ather 450 Series To Get Cruise Control? All Details Here
Ather is likely to unveil cruise control for its 450 series at the 2025 Community Day on August 30, 2025. This feature is expected to be available for the 450X and 450 Apex models. Current owners might receive this update via an over-the-air (OTA) update, but it could be restricted to those with Atherstack Pro software.
The addition of cruise control isn't new in India's electric scooter market. Ola Electric introduced this feature in June 2022 for its S1 range through the Ola Move OS 2.0 update, later enhancing it with Move OS 4.0. Ather's move to include cruise control aligns with industry trends.

The existing Ather 450 series includes three models: the 450s, 450X, and 450 Apex. The entry-level model, the Ather 450s, comes with a base price of Rs 1.23 lakh for a 2.9 kWh battery pack and Rs 1.43 lakh for a top-end 3.7 kWh battery pack. The smaller battery offers a range of up to 122 km, while the larger one extends to 161 km per charge.
The Atherstack Pro is an optional add-on for the Ather 450s, priced at Rs15,000. It includes features like turn-by-turn navigation. The top speed of the 450s is capped at 90 kmph with an acceleration time from 0-40 kmph in just under 4 seconds.
The second model in the lineup, the Ather 450X, costs Rs 1.50 lakh for the smaller battery and Rs 1.60 lakh for the larger one. The claimed range is similar to that of the Ather 450s, offering up to 126 km with the smaller battery and up to 161 km with the larger one.
The Atherstack Pro package for the Ather 450X costs Rs 17,000 for the smaller battery version and Rs 20,000 for the larger one. It adds features such as location sharing and an extended warranty covering five years or up to 50,000 km.
The limited-edition Ather 450 Apex was launched to mark Ather's decade-long journey in business. Priced at Rs 1.84 lakh, it comes exclusively with a larger battery pack offering a range of up to 157 km per charge.
The Apex model stands out with a top speed of up to 100 kmph and accelerates from zero to forty kmph in just under 3 seconds. The Atherstack Pro is standard on this model and includes advanced features like a seven-inch touchscreen cluster and theft alerts.
