Ampere Nexus Gets Big Warranty Upgrade - Now Easier To Own Too

Greaves Electricc Mobility-owned Ampere has introduced a five-year battery warranty for its Nexus electric scooter, offering one of the longest warranty periods in India's electric two-wheeler market. Ampere's new warranty for the Nexus covers 75,000 kilometers or five years, whichever comes first, and applies to both Nexus variants.

The Nexus electric scooter's battery pack features Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) chemistry. The 3kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of 110 kilometers in real-world conditions. The battery pack of the Ampere requires 3 hours and 22 minutes for a full charge. The battery pack is paired with an electric motor developing 4kW of peak power which allows the Nexus to hit a top speed of 93km/h.

Greaves Electric Mobility, Ampere's parent firm, has also introduced new financing options for the Nexus. Interest rates start at 6.99 percent, with reduced down payment requirements. These measures aim to make the Nexus more accessible to consumers by easing financial barriers.

The introduction of extended warranties reflects broader industry trends toward longer coverage periods. Manufacturers are increasingly addressing consumer concerns about battery longevity and replacement costs in electric vehicles. This trend is evident as India's electric two-wheeler market experiences rapid growth with multiple manufacturers vying for market share.

The Ampere Nexus is offered in two variant options - EX & ST. Prices for the Ampere Nexus electric scooter start at Rs ₹1,14,900 for the EX while the ST variant is priced at ₹1,24,900 (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom). The Nexus is offered in four colour options - Zanskar Aqua, Lunar White, Steel Grey and Indian Red.

Since its launch the Ampere Nexus has received accolades such as the India Design Mark. The electric scooter gained significant attention after it was used to complete a remarkable 10,000-kilometer journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, setting four national records during this expedition.

DriveSpark Thinks!
