Ampere Magnus Grand Launched At ₹89,999 - 118km Range, Matcha Green & Ocean Blue Colours

Ampere, the EV Arm of Greaves Electric, has launched the Magnus Grand electric scooter. The Amper Magnus Grand is priced at ₹89,999, ex-showroom and is the new top model in the Magnus range, offering more premium touches than the Magnus Neo, which costs ₹5,000 less.

The Ampere Magnus Grand is offered in two colour options Ocean Blue and Matcha Green, the latter named after the viral green tea from Japan. Both colour schemes feature contrasting accents and graphics that give the Magnus Grand a fresh look.

Beyond paint, the Grand also gets style and comfort upgrades over the Neo. A brown-coloured seat cover, slightly redesigned silver grab rail, and gold badging on the apron and sides contribute to the more premium feel of the Magnus Grand.

The Magnus Grand sports a LCD instrument console that Ampere says offers better visibility, easier readability, and optional connectivity. The underlying design of the Ampere Grand remains essentially unchanged compared to the other variants of the electric scooter.

Mechanically, things remain the same on the Mganus asthe Magnus Neo. The Grand uses a removable 2.3 kWh LFP battery pack that an electric motor with 1.5 kW nominal output and 2.4 kW peak output.

The claimed range of the Magnus Grand is 118 km and Ampere claims a real-world range in Eco mode is about 80-95 km depending on conditions. Performance figures include a top speed of 65 km/h, and the scooter takes approximately 6.5 seconds to reach 40 km/h. It charges fully in 5-6 hours using a 7.5A charger.

The chassis and braking setup are unchanged compared to the Neo. The Magnus Grand retains a steel tube frame, telescopic front fork, twin rear shocks, and 12-inch steel wheels with 90-section tyres. Braking is via drum brakes at both ends with CBS (Combined Braking System). The Ampere Magnus Grand tips the scales at 108 kg.

In terms of features, the Mganus Grand scooter includes 22 litres of under-seat storage, a cubby hole in the apron, a reverse mode, and three ride modes: Eco, City, and Power. Warranty covers the Magnus Grand for 3 years or 30,000 km, and the battery for 5 years or 75,000 km.
