2026 Kawasaki Z650 S Unveiled: All Details Here

Kawasaki has officially unveiled the all-new Z650 S for 2026 - a refreshed version of its popular middleweight naked that brings new styling, updated ergonomics, and modern tech. For now, the new model will join the standard Z650 in the brand's international line-up.

Design

The 2026 Z650 S takes a big step forward in design, drawing inspiration from the larger Z900. It features all-new bodywork, including a three-lamp LED headlight cluster similar to the Z900's, lending the bike a sharper, more aggressive stance.

The tank shrouds have also been redesigned and extend further towards the radiator, giving the front end a more muscular appearance. Overall, the Z650 S's styling brings it in line with Kawasaki's latest generation of Z models.

Revised Ergonomics

Kawasaki has made notable ergonomic improvements to the Z650 S. The bike gets a new handlebar that's 30mm wider than the standard Z650, along with repositioned footpegs for a more relaxed riding position.

The rider seat height is up by about 15mm, while the pillion seat gains 20mm of width and an extra 10mm of padding, enhancing comfort for both rider and passenger. These updates are aimed at improving overall comfort during long rides without compromising the sporty character of the bike.

Updated TFT Display & Connectivity

The new 4.3-inch TFT display on the Z650 S adds a modern touch, offering smartphone connectivity via Kawasaki's Rideology app. Riders can access phone and SMS alerts, trip data, and ride analytics directly through the app.

Powertrain & Other Specs

Mechanically, the Z650 S continues with the tried-and-tested 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, also found in the Z650 and Versys 650. While Kawasaki hasn't revealed any changes in tuning, the output is expected to remain close to 68hp and 64Nm.

The braking setup consists of twin 300mm front discs and a 220mm rear disc, now paired with a new Continental ABS system for improved safety. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic front fork and rear monoshock, both similar to those on the standard Z650.

Pricing & Availability

The 2026 Kawasaki Z650 S will be available in three color options, with prices starting from £7,199 (approximately Rs 8.40 lakh) in the UK. Kawasaki hasn't confirmed if the Z650 S will replace the standard Z650, but given its updated styling and modern ergonomics, it might eventually take over that role.
