Kawasaki India has launched the 2026 Ninja 650 in the Indian market, pricing the middleweight sport motorcycle at ₹7.91 lakh ex-showroom. The updated 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 gets an updated engine that can run on the latest ethanol-infused fuels.

Powering the 2026 Ninja 650 is the same 649cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, producing 67bhp at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,700rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch.

For 2026, Kawasaki has updated the Ninja 650 to comply with E20 fuel norms, allowing compatibility with ethanol-blended petrol as mandated under evolving fuel regulations, while retaining the motorcycle's existing mechanical and performance characteristics.

The Ninja 650 continues to be built around a high-tensile steel trellis frame, with suspension duties handled by 41mm telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock, maintaining the same chassis setup and ride dynamics as the outgoing version.

Kawasaki has equipped the 2026 Ninja 650 with a 4.3-inch TFT instrument display featuring smartphone connectivity, alongside full LED lighting and traction control with two selectable modes, enhancing rider interface and electronic assistance.

The motorcycle is offered in a single Lime Green colour option for India, featuring white and blue graphic accents, while Kawasaki continues to retail the previous model year Ninja 650 alongside the newly launched 2026 version.

The Ninja 650 remains positioned as a sport-touring focused motorcycle, balancing everyday usability with performance, and continues to compete in the middleweight segment against similarly priced parallel-twin sport and naked motorcycles.

With the launch of the 2026 model, Kawasaki has updated the Ninja 650 primarily for regulatory compliance and feature continuity, without introducing any major mechanical or structural changes to the established platform that has made this one of the go-to middleweight motorcycles in the country.
