2026 Honda CB750 Hornet Updated With E-Clutch & New Colours

Japanese two-wheeler giant Honda has introduced the 2026 CB750 Hornet with a set of updates centred around its new e-clutch system and an expanded colour lineup. The 2026 Honda CB750 Hornet retains the same mechanical foundation as the current Hornet, but introduces convenience-focused technology for the upcoming model year.

Powering the 2026 Honda CB750 Hornet is the 755 cc parallel-twin engine, producing 90 hp at 9,500 rpm and 75 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. The unit is paired to a six-speed gearbox equipped with assist-and-slipper functionality intended to help manage shifts under both acceleration and braking.

Honda's new e-clutch system is the headline update for the 2026 Honda CB750 Hornet. With this feature, riders can bring the motorcycle to a complete stop while remaining in gear without touching the clutch lever. The system automatically engages and disengages the clutch, assisting low-speed manoeuvres and stop-go situations common in daily commuting conditions.

Despite the electronic support, riders can still use the clutch lever normally if they prefer manual control. The system operates through electronic actuation each time the rider shifts through the pedal, allowing gear changes without requiring the conventional hand-operated clutch action. Honda states that leverless control remains optional at all times.

The suspension layout has been carried over from the previous version of the Honda CB750 Hornet. At the front is a Showa SFF-BP upside-down fork, while the rear uses a linked monoshock. Braking hardware comprises twin 296mm discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS to maintain stable stopping performance.

The Honda CB750 Hornet continues with a 5-inch full-colour TFT dash. The display supports smartphone connectivity, call and message alerts and navigation access through Honda's connected features. Riders can choose between Sport, Standard, Rain and User riding modes that adjust engine response and traction control settings to suit different riding environments.

Honda has updated the CB750 Hornet's colour palette for the 2026 model year. New options include Graphite Black combined with Matt Ballistic Black Metallic and a contrasting red frame. Wolf Silver Metallic paired with Iridium Gray Metallic has also been added, giving another dual-tone finish to the lineup.

Further additions to the range include Goldfinch Yellow matched with Wolf Silver Metallic, along with Matt Jeans Blue Metallic combined with Matt Ballistic Black Metallic. Honda has kept the overall body panels unchanged for 2026, focusing on fresh colours rather than design modifications across the model.
