Enhanced Riding Experience on the 2025 Triumph Trident 660
The motorcycle continues to be powered by the robust 660cc, 3-cylinder engine, delivering 81hp and 64Nm of torque. The powertrain remains unchanged, ensuring the Trident's performance characteristics are preserved. The rest of the bike also remains mostly consistent, with a 14-litre fuel tank, a 190kg kerb weight when fully fuelled, and a seat height of 805mm, making it approachable for a broad spectrum of riders.
In the chassis department, the 2025 Trident 660 introduces a major update with the Showa Big Piston fork, promising improved feedback and control. This adjustment, alongside the preload-adjustable rear suspension, aims to refine the riding experience. The Trident maintains its grip with Michelin Road 5 tyres and ensures stopping power with 310mm twin discs at the front and a 255mm disc at the back, supported by Nissin calipers.
A noteworthy update to the Trident 660 is the integration of cruise control, a feature aimed at enhancing long-distance travel comfort. Operated by a single button, the system doesn't allow for speed adjustments without disengaging, yet it represents a significant addition to the bike's convenience features.
Design and Aesthetics of the Updated Trident 660
The aesthetic appeal of the Trident 660 has also been elevated with the introduction of three new colour schemes: yellow, blue, and red, alongside the classic all-black option. The bodywork primarily remains black, with the tank showcasing the vibrant new colours. The pricing reflects the added appeal, with the base model at Rs 8.49 lakh and the dual-tone variants fetching a premium of Rs 15,000.
Competing in the Indian market against the Kawasaki Z650 and the Honda CB650R, the Trident 660 stands out with its blend of performance, technology, and design. These updates for 2025 not only enhance its appeal but also solidify its position as a versatile and desirable motorcycle within its segment.
