2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Lineup Launched - Prices Start At Rs 12.75 Lakh
British motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has launched the 2025 Speed Twin 1200 lineup in India. The standard 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 is priced at Rs 12.75 lakh, while the Speed Twin 1200 RS variant commands a higher price tag of Rs 15.50 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
Both the Speed Twin 1200 and RS variants are powered by the same 1,200cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine. The 1,200cc engine has been upgraded and now sports a new cam, a sportier tune, and a redline of 8,000 rpm. The engine now delivers 103.5bhp at 7,750rpm and 112Nm of peak torque at 4,250rpm.

The Speed Twin 1200 lineup's engine is complemented by a slip-and-assist clutch-controlled six-speed gearbox shared across both models. However, the RS variant stands out with the addition of a bidirectional quickshifter, marking it as the first Triumph neo-retro model to feature this upgrade.
In terms of technological advancements, both models now sport new instrumentation, transitioning from the twin digi-analogue dials to the more modern single TFT display, first seen on the Trident 660 and then the Speed Twin 900. The switchgear remains unchanged and both bikes also feature a USB-C charging port as standard.

The distinction between the standard Speed Twin 1200 and RS variants becomes more apparent when you take a deeper dive into their equipment list. The base model offers a more comfortable riding position, while the RS opts for a sportier stance with lower handlebars and more rear-set footpegs.
The Speed Twin 1200 RS also gets higher-end components, such as a fully adjustable Marzocchi front fork with preload adjustment, twin Ohlins RSU shock absorbers at the rear, and Brembo Stylema callipers paired with dual 320mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc. Additionally, it's fitted with Metzeler Racetec RR tyres - a 120/70 front and a 160/60 rear.

On the other hand, the cycle parts on the base Speed Twin 1200 are simpler, featuring a non-adjustable 43mm fork and twin rear shock absorbers from Marzocchi with preload adjustment. The Speed Twin 1200 sports 4-piston callipers working on dual 320mm discs at the front and a single disc at the back, and it rides on Metzeler M9RR tyres.
In terms of aesthetics, the standard Speed Twin 1200 comes in three colour options: white, red, and silver, while the RS is available only in a black and orange colourway. Triumph continues to offer a wide range of factory-supplied optional extras, including clip-on bars and a solo seat for those seeking the classic cafe racer look.
Triumph's latest Speed Twin 1200 models bring forth significant updates and clear differentiation between the "regular" Speed Twin 1200 and the RS variant. With their blend of classic styling, modern technology, and performance tweaks, the 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 lineup has everything that is needed for a rider looking for a big neo-retro roadster.
