2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS Launched At Rs 20.39 Lakh - Big Mechanical Upgrades
The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS has been launched in India with a sticker price of Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The latest iteration of the British supernaked Triumph Speed Triple RS motorcycle represents a significant update over its predecessor, not just in terms of aesthetics but more so in mechanical advancements and rider aids.
The 2025 Triumph Speed Triple RS retains the 1,160cc, 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine at its core. The 2025 Speed Triple RS generates 183 horsepower and 128Nm of torque. This is an increase of 3hp and 3Nm, respectively, over its predecessor, achieved through the integration of a more efficient exhaust system.

Technical Upgrades and New Features
Triumph has made significant improvements to the Speed Triple 1200 RS's suspension for the 2025 model year. The motorcycle is now equipped with the latest generation electronically adjustable Ohlins EC3 suspension units, which replace the manual adjustments of the past model. This change should help with road use in the Indian market, allowing riders to tailor the ride and handling to just the way they want it.
The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS also sports new, lighter wheels for 2025, enhancing handling by reducing unsprung mass. This reduction in inertia and gyroscopic forces proves beneficial during quick directional changes, crucial for a motorcycle with the Speed Triple's sporting ambitions. The updated Speed Triple RS is fitted with Pirelli Supercorsa V3 tyres, a departure from the Metzeler Racetec RR tyres of its predecessor, with sizes remaining unchanged at 120/70-ZR17 for the front and 190/55-ZR17 for the rear.

Another notable addition is the inclusion of a standard steering damper, enhancing stability and control, particularly useful for a motorcycle capable of lifting its front wheel with ease. Triumph has also taken steps to refine the electronic rider aids, offering independent adjustability of the wheelie control separate from the traction control settings, a feature that addresses previous critiques and showcases Triumph's responsiveness to rider feedback.
Market Positioning and Availability
The 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS is available in three color schemes: all-black, grey/red, and grey/yellow. Despite a price hike of Rs 2.44 lakh, making it Rs 20.39 lakh, the motorcycle remains the most competitively priced European supernaked in India. It undercuts its main rivals, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the KTM 1390 Super Duke R, priced between Rs 24.62 lakh to Rs 28 lakh and Rs 22.96 lakh, respectively.
