2025 Suzuki GSX-8R Launched At Rs 9.25 Lakh - Now OBD-2B Compliant
Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki has launched the updated 2025 GSX-8R supersport motorcycle in India. The 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R is priced at Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom).
The big update to the 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R comes in the form of the OBD-2B compliant engine, which means the sports bike meets India's latest and most stringent emission norms. The rest of the 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R remains unchanged.

Commenting on the launch, Deepak Mutreja, Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, "The OBD-2B update on the GSX-8R enhances its performance with improved emission monitoring, keeping it aligned with the latest regulatory requirements. This ensures that customers continue to enjoy a refined and responsive riding experience that also meets evolving environmental standards."
2025 Suzuki GSX-8R Specs & Features
The 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R is powered by the 776cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that features a 270-degree crank. The engine pushes out 81.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm at 6,800rpm and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.
The backbone-style steel frame is suspended off a 41mm USD front fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The GSX-8R rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 120/70 (front) and 180/55 (rear) tyres.
Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm discs, clamped down by 4-piston radial-mounted callipers, at the front and a single 240mm disc at the rear, clamped down by a single-piston calliper at the rear.
Coming to the design of the Suzuki GSX-8R, the bike features a vertically stacked LED lighting setup for the headlight unit. The full fairing features quite a few sharp creases and bumps. The rear section is quite stubby and upswept with the taillights present on the rear fender section that hangs off the bike.
The Suzuki GSX-8R comes packed with a host of electronics including the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) that provides advanced electronic rider assist systems including the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), the Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS), Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System and the bi-directional Quick Shift System.
The 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R is offered in three colours - Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black No.2 and is now available to order across Suzuki's big bike dealerships in India.
