2025 KTM 390 Adventure X Launched - Big Tech Upgrades

KTM has launched the 2025 390 Adventure X in India. The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs 3.03 lakh (Ex-showroom), which is Rs 12,000 more than its predecessor. The update to the 390 Adventure X includes advanced electronic rider aids similar to the 390 Adventure.

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X now features an enhanced suite of rider aids compared to the previous version. It includes cruise control, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and ride modes such as Street, Rain, and Offroad. These additions align it closely with the standard 390 Adventure's offerings.

Enhanced Features and Specifications

The updated switchgear from the standard 390 Adventure is now part of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X. A single button press activates or deactivates the cruise control function. Additionally, a dedicated toggle switch allows riders to adjust cruise control speed easily.

When braking, the cruise control system disengages automatically and re-engages when the throttle is turned again. This ensures a smooth riding experience for users. Despite these updates, core hardware specifications remain unchanged from earlier models.

The bike retains its 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, delivering 45 PS and 39 Nm of torque with a six-speed transmission. The suspension setup mirrors that of the standard model but lacks adjustability features found in its counterpart.

Both models share WP Apex USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. However, only preload adjustment is available for the monoshock on the Adventure X. The bike also features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels.

Pricing and Market Competition

With a starting price of Rs 3.03 lakh, the new 2025 Adventure X remains Rs 65,000 cheaper than the 390 Adventure which is priced at Rs 3.68 lakh (Ex-showroom). Despite this price increase, it offers value through premium rider aids.

The primary competitor for KTM's new offering is Royal Enfield's Himalayan 450. Priced at Rs 2.85 lakh (Ex-showroom), it focuses on off-road capabilities with features like switchable ABS, ride-by-wire technology with ride modes, and a slip-and-assist clutch.

KTM's strategy to enhance its Indian market presence involves offering advanced features while maintaining competitive pricing against rivals like Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. This approach aims to attract enthusiasts seeking both performance and value in their adventure bikes.
