2025 BMW S 1000 R Launched In India At ₹19.90 Lakh — 170hp, 3.2s 0–100 km/h
German motorcycle manufacturer BMW Motorrad has launched the updated 2025 BMW S 1000 R as a completely built unit (CBU), priced at ₹19,90,000 ex-showroom. Bookings have opened across all BMW Motorrad dealerships in India, with deliveries scheduled to begin shortly.
The 2025 BMW S 1000 R comes in three colour schemes. Buyers can choose Blackstorm Metallic for a stealth look, Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow under the Style Sport option, or Light White Uni with M Motorsport graphics available exclusively with the M package.
The 2025 BMW S 1000 R is powered by a 999 cc inline-four engine that makes 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 9,250 rpm and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. BMW claims that the S 1000 R sprints from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h.
Standard features on the BMW S 1000 R include Headlight Pro with LED daytime running lights, M quick-action throttle, and Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR). The S 1000 R also offers three ride modes - Rain, Road, and Dynamic.
The 2025 S 1000 R's 6.5-inch TFT colour display integrates BMW Motorrad Connected, allowing riders to pair smartphones for navigation and calls. A USB charging port is standard. All the lighting on offer is LED.
Customers can opt for different equipment packages. The Dynamic Package adds Dynamic Damping Control, Pro riding modes, and Shift Assistant Pro. The Comfort Package introduces Keyless Ride, cruise control, heated grips, and tyre pressure control. The M Sport Package includes M seat, lightweight battery, sports silencer, and forged wheels.
BMW offers the 2025 S 1000 R with a three-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. Buyers can extend coverage to four or five years. Roadside assistance is included, providing towing and emergency support 24×7 across India throughout the warranty period.
