2-Wheeler Retail Sales In Oct 2025 Cross 31.49 Lakh Units - Up By 51.76% YoY
India's two-wheeler segment recorded retail sales of 31,49,846 units in October 2025, a year-on-year increase of approximately 51.76 % compared with 27,75,578 units sold in October 2024.
This surge in two-wheeler sales was thanks to the combined effects of changes to GST and the festive season. Month-on-month sales rose sharply by 144.60 % compared with September's 12,87,735 units.

Hero MotoCorp once again led the charge with retail sales of 9,94,787 units in October 2025, commanding a 31.58 % share of the market. Hero's sales grew by 72.2% compared to October 2024, when it sold 5,77,678 units.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India took second place, posting retail sales of 8,21,976 units in October 2025, up from 5,56,209 units a year earlier. Honda's sales in India last month grew by 47.78% year-over-year.
TVS Motor Company took third place with retail sales of 5,58,075 units in October 2025, a significant increase over 3,53,619 units in October 2024. Sales of TVS scooters and bikes rose by 57.82% YoY.
Bajaj Auto took fourth place, achieving sales of 3,23,713 units in October 2025, up from 2,31,048 units a year earlier. Bajaj's sales grew by 40.11% year-over-year. Despite the growth, the company's market share fell to 10.28 % from 11.13 %.
Royal Enfield sold 1,44,615 units in October 2025 to claim the 5th spot on the sales charts . Royal Enfield's sales grew by 47.32% YoY compared to 98,163 units in the same month the previous year.
Suzuki Motorcycle India achieved retail sales of 1,35,715 units in October 2025, up from 1,07,107 units in October 2024. The company saw growth in key commuter models as demand rebounded, thanks to the holiday season and GST updates.
In the electric two-wheeler segment, Ather Energy reported sales of 92,359 units in October 2025, rising from 68,461 units a year earlier. Only Ola Electric reported a decline, with sales falling to 16,036 units in October 2025 from 41,843 units in the same month a year earlier.
Segment-wide year-to-date retail sales from April to October 2025 reached 1,19,94,390 units, up 12.63 % from 1,06,49,288 units in the corresponding period of the previous year. The strong performance in 2W retail sales in Oct 2025 is attributed to festive-season demand, improved rural sentiment, and the recent impact of the GST tax reform. October 2025 was perhaps one of the strongest sales months in recent memory.
