ZELIO Ebikes Unveils New Eeva Series: Affordable Electric Scooters For Urban Commuters
ZELIO Ebikes, a prominent player in India's electric two-wheeler sector, has unveiled its new Eeva series. Priced between INR 56,051 and 90,500 (ex-showroom), the series includes three models: Eeva, Eeva Eco, and Eeva ZX+.
This launch follows the success of previous models like the GRACY series and X Men Low-Speed Electric Scooter. The Eeva series aims to provide innovative, eco-friendly mobility solutions for urban commuters such as students, professionals, and gig workers.
The Eeva model is designed for daily city commuting. It features a sturdy BLDC motor (60/72V), an 80 kg gross weight, and a loading capacity of 180 kg. The scooter is equipped with drum brakes at both ends for reliable stopping power.
Riders will benefit from hydraulic shock absorbers that ensure a smooth ride on rough surfaces. Advanced features include an anti-theft alarm, reverse gear, parking switch, auto repair switch, USB charger, and digital display. Available in Blue, Grey, White, and Black, the Eeva comes in five battery variants:
- 60V/32AH Lead Acid: INR 56,051; range of 55-60 km; charging time of 7-8 hours.
- 72V/32AH Lead Acid: INR 58,551; range of 70 km; charging time of 7-9 hours.
- 60V/38AH Lead Acid: INR 61,851; range of 70-75 km; charging time of 8-9 hours.
- 72V/38AH Lead Acid: INR 65,551; range of 100 km; charging time of 9-10 hours.
- 60V/30AH Li-Ion: INR 79,051; range of 80 km; charging time of 4 hours.
Eeva Eco Model Features
The Eeva Eco model combines stylish design with robust performance. It weighs 80 kg and has a loading capacity of 180 kg. Safety is enhanced with rear drum brakes and front disc brakes. The front rim is made from alloy.
Like the Eeva model, it includes features such as reverse gear, parking switch, auto repair switch, and USB charger. It operates with a BLDC motor (48/60V) paired with hydraulic shock absorbers at both ends. A digital display and central locking add to its security features. Available in Blue, Grey, White, Black, and Red, it offers three battery options:
- 48V/32AH Lead Acid: INR 52,000; range of 50-60 km; charging time of 6-7 hours.
- 60V/32 AH Lead Acid: INR 54,000; range of 70 km; charging time of 7-8 hours.
- 60V/30AH Li-Ion: INR 68,000; range of 100 km; charging time of 4 hours.
Eeva ZX+ Model Highlights
For those seeking a premium experience in electric scooters, the Eeva ZX+ is ideal. It features a robust BLDC motor (60/72V), weighs around 90 kg with a loading capacity of up to 180 kg. The ZX+ includes a front disk brake and rear drum brake for exceptional control and safety. This model also incorporates all advanced features found in the other models like an anti-theft alarm and digital display.
