Yamaha Aerox 155 Version S Launched In India At Rs 1.51 Lakh
Yamaha has recently launched the AEROX 155 Version S in India, marking a significant addition to its scooter lineup. This new variant is part of Yamaha's 'The Call of the Blue' campaign and prices start at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom) and are available exclusively at Blue Square showrooms.
The highlight of the AEROX 155 Version S is its Smart Key technology, designed to elevate the urban commuting experience. This system brings features like Answer Back, Unlock, and Immobilizer, aiming to offer riders both convenience and enhanced security.
The Answer Back function is particularly useful in crowded areas, helping locate the scooter with visual and audio signals. Keyless ignition is another benefit of the Smart Key system, allowing for effortless scooter startup without the need to use a traditional key.
This, along with the immobilizer function, ensures the scooter is protected against theft by disabling the engine when the key is not in proximity. Mr Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, emphasized the success of the AEROX 155 and the importance of innovative solutions like the SmartKey technology.
Beyond the Smart Key system, the newly launched Yamaha AEROX 155 Version S boasts an athletic design highlighted by the X Centre motif and is equipped with a Traction Control.
It is powered by a new generation 155cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 15bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.9Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. This engine ensures a blend of high performance and efficiency, suitable for the demands of city riding.
The scooter is also E20 fuel compliant and features an onboard diagnostics (OBD-II) System, along with a standard hazard system. Its dimensions and specifications are tailored to provide a comfortable and dynamic riding experience.
With a length of 1,980mm, width of 700mm, and height of 1,150mm, it offers ample space for riders. The seat height of 790mm caters to individuals of varying heights, ensuring comfort on long rides. In addition, its 1350mm wheelbase aids in stability and manoeuvrability in urban settings.
Despite its comprehensive features, the AEROX 155 Version S is lightweight at just 126kg, making it easy to navigate through city traffic. It also boasts a minimum ground clearance of 145mm and a fuel tank capacity of 5.5L, striking the right balance between agility, stability, and practicality for urban commuting.
