VLF Tennis Electric Scooter Launched In India: Price, Features & More
The VLF Tennis 1500W electric scooter has been launched in India at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This Italian electric two-wheeler is being manufactured locally in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The brand Velocifero (VLF) has partnered with KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd. to oversee the production and distribution of this model in India.
Globally, the VLF Tennis comes in two variants, but only the 1500W version will be available in India. This variant features a 2.5 kWh battery that delivers a maximum torque of 157 Nm and can reach speeds of up to 65 kmph. It offers a range of 130 km on a single charge and takes three hours to fully recharge.

VLF Tennis 1500W: Key Features
The VLF Tennis 1500W is available in three colours: Snowflake White, Fire Fury Dark Red, and Slate Gray. It boasts a high-tensile steel frame and weighs just 88 kg with the battery included. The scooter is equipped with disc brakes on both ends, telescopic hydraulic forks at the front, and a hydraulic mono shock absorber at the rear.
A five-inch digital TFT display serves as the speedometer for the VLF Tennis, offering three driving modes: Eco, Comfort, and Sport. The scooter rides on 12-inch wheels and features LED lights at both ends for enhanced visibility.
International Variant Comparison
In international markets, the VLF Tennis also comes in a more powerful 4000W variant. This version generates 232 Nm of torque and can reach speeds up to 100 kmph. It uses a slightly larger 2.8 kWh battery that provides a range of 100 km when driven at 40 kmph, requiring five to six hours for a full charge.
VLF aims to establish a strong presence in India by setting up an extensive dealership network. Initially planning for 15 dealerships across tier-1 and tier-2 cities, the company intends to expand this number to 50 by the end of the fiscal year.
VLF's entry into India marks it as the second Italian two-wheeler brand manufacturing locally after Aprilia, which operates out of Baramati. This strategic move aligns with their goal to cater to Indian consumers by offering locally produced electric scooters tailored for this market.
DriveSpark Thinks
The launch of the VLF Tennis 1500W signifies an important step for Velocifero's expansion into India's growing electric vehicle sector. With its competitive pricing and local manufacturing efforts, it aims to capture significant market share among eco-conscious consumers seeking efficient urban mobility solutions.
