Uttar Pradesh Allocates Land to Ducati for India's First Motorcycle Race Track
Reports indicate that the Yogi Adityanath administration has granted land worth hundreds of crores to a globally renowned motorcycle manufacturer at no cost. The recipient is Ducati, an Italian company known for its high-performance bikes. The Uttar Pradesh government has provided approximately 200 acres of land to Ducati without any charge through the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
Ducati plans to construct a race track and a training centre for vehicles in Uttar Pradesh. This initiative is expected to significantly boost the motor sports sector in India. The allocated land, located in Sector 22F of Greater Noida, is confirmed to be free from any legal disputes and has already been acquired from the public.

If this race track materialises, it will be India's first dedicated motorcycle racing track, according to YEIDA. This development is anticipated to greatly aid the growth of motor sports in the country. Additionally, the area will benefit from an upcoming metro rail project and the new Jewar International Airport, making it easily accessible for international participants and spectators.
YEIDA officials have also mentioned ongoing discussions with Ducati regarding the Moto GP Bharat race scheduled for March next year. Ducati is well-known for constructing world-class race tracks and organising racing events. "That's why we gave them land here," stated A.V. Singh, a senior YEIDA official.
Currently, India has three operational race tracks: the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai, the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, and the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. Ducati's new track is expected to become the fourth significant race track in the country.
The chairman of YEIDA has assured that there will be no obstacles in constructing the new race track. However, Ducati has not yet confirmed its plans for building the track. The company has stated that it will soon announce its decision on this matter.
Potential Impact on Indian Motor Sports
The construction of new race tracks in India is expected to stimulate growth in the motor sports sector. It will also encourage those involved in this field and create opportunities for hosting more international-level racing events.
