Updated Triumph Speed 400: Top 5 Things You Need To Know
The Triumph Speed 400 has been refreshed for the 2025 model year, featuring new enhancements and colour choices. The updated model is now priced at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is an increase of approximately Rs 6,000 from its previous price.
Updated Tyres
One of the most notable updates to the Speed 400 is the introduction of Vredestein tyres. These tyres have thicker sidewalls compared to the earlier version. The new tyre sizes are 110/80 R17 and 150/70 R17, replacing the former 110/70 R17 and 150/60 R17 sizes. This change has slightly increased both seat height and ground clearance, giving the bike a taller appearance.

Noticeable Changes
In addition to tyre changes, Triumph has added adjustable hand levers as a standard feature on the Speed 400. This enhancement aims to improve rider convenience and comfort. Furthermore, the seat has been revised with an additional 10mm of foam padding. Despite this extra padding, Triumph claims that they have reprofiled the seat to maintain similar ground reach.
Colours
The Speed 400 now offers four new colour options. Some of these colours include Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red & Phantom Black. Also, the exhaust system is now finished in black, which was not available in previous models. These aesthetic updates provide riders with more choices to suit their preferences.

Powertrain
Despite these updates, the new Triumph Speed 400 retains its 399cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm. This single-cylinder engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox (comes with slip-and-assist clutch).
Features
In terms of technology, the Speed 400 includes ride-by-wire throttle, full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. Also, unlike the new Triumph Speed T4, the updated Speed 400 continues to sport USD forks at the front.

DriveSpark Thinks
The combination of new features and colour options enhances both functionality and aesthetics for riders of the updated Speed 400. With these improvements, Triumph continues to cater to motorcycle enthusiasts seeking performance and style in their rides.
