Upcoming Ather Rizta Electric Scooter Spotted Without Camouflage – All Details Here

Ather Energy is making headlines as it gears up to launch its latest electric scooter, the Ather Rizta. This scooter marks a new direction for Ather, targeting a family-oriented audience. The eagerly awaited Rizta is set to be unveiled at Ather's Community Day on the 6th of April, 2024.

In a recent turn of events, images of the Rizta, free from any camouflage, have surfaced online, offering a first glimpse of this new venture. The photos were shared by automotive enthusiast Pradeep M on social media platform X.

This sneak peek showcases a scooter that embraces a clean, minimalistic design, yet carries a bulkier frame than its predecessors in the 450 series, suggesting a focus on practicality and comfort. Noteworthy features include large ORVMs, a spacious dashboard, and a generous seat, further emphasized by a billboard in Mumbai.

Unlike Ather's previous models tailored for thrill-seekers, the Rizta aims to cater to a broader, more mature audience. This shift is evident in its design which, while reminiscent of the iQube, introduces unique elements like sleek rear tail lights, a large grab handle, and an optional pillion backrest.

While the specifics of Rizta's powertrain remain under wraps, it is speculated to retain components from the 450S, aligned with its affordable positioning. Ather is also highlighting the safety of its battery technology through various demonstrations, including a 40-feet drop and water wading tests, underscoring its commitment to safety.

However, the Rizta will see some departures from the premium offerings of the 450 range. Notably, it will lack a rear disc brake and is not expected to feature an aluminium chassis.

The upcoming Community Day will not only see the launch of the Rizta but will also introduce the latest AtherStack OS and a special smart accessory, further expanding Ather's ecosystem.

Thoughts About The Ather Rizta Electric Scooter

As Ather ventures into new territory with the Rizta, it aims to broaden its appeal and reach within the burgeoning electric scooter market in India. With its launch, the Rizta is poised to become a strong contender against established models like the Chetak, Ola S1, TVS iQube, and Vida V1.
