Ultraviolette F99: India's First Superbike With Ambitions To Break Speed Records
Ultraviolette Automotive, a pioneer in India's electric vehicle industry, has recently launched the F99 Factory Racing Platform, marking a significant milestone as the nation's inaugural superbike. This innovation, conceived, designed, and engineered entirely at their Bengaluru R&D headquarters, represents a groundbreaking development in the Indian two-wheeler (2W) industry.
The F99 stands out not only for its origin but also for its extraordinary power output, which surpasses that of any production motorcycle produced by an Indian company by more than double.

The ambition of Ultraviolette Automotive stretches beyond mere innovation. With the F99, the company sets its sights on smashing records, aiming to achieve the highest top speed and fastest quarter mile ever recorded by an Indian motorcycle within the next 90 days.
This endeavor not only underlines the superbike's exceptional capabilities but also signals India's burgeoning role as a center for cutting-edge design, engineering, and technological advancements, moving beyond its traditional reputation as a contract manufacturer.

Narayan Subramaniam, the CEO of Ultraviolette Automotive, shared his vision during the launch, stating, "We believe Innovation to be a duty & a responsibility to the future of India. For long, we've looked to the East & West and used 'Value Engineering' as a means to deflect the onus of truly making World class products in India."
He went on to say, "With the talent available locally and the focus on design & technology cultivated through upskilling & job creation by startups, there is no reason India can't dream of having a world-class brand in performance motorcycling – to not dream of it, would be a disservice to our generation."
The F99's Broader Impact on the Automotive Industry
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO of Ultraviolette Automotive, further elaborated on the significance of the F99 platform, emphasizing its role in transforming India's automotive sector. "Disruptive technology like the F99 platform – that is among the fastest & most advanced electric bikes in the World – will help India reinforce its status as a top player in the Automotive sector."
Mr. Rajmohan also said, "Whilst known for contract manufacturing, we believe that with the right focus & application, the time is ripe for India to take its rightful place in the pecking order of design-led, desirable auto brands in the World."

Moreover, the F99 Factory Racing Platform is part of Ultraviolette's broader strategy to utilize racing as a catalyst for technological advancement and design innovation. This approach is expected to expedite the discovery of groundbreaking technologies that will further enhance the F77 platform.
Currently, the F77 is accessible in five cities through Ultraviolette’s network of 'Space Stations' in Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. Plans are underway to expand its presence to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Mangalore in the upcoming month.
The launch of the F99 Factory Racing Platform by Ultraviolette Automotive is a significant leap toward establishing India as a leader in the global automotive landscape.
It not only showcases the country's capabilities in innovation, design, and engineering but also sets the stage for India to dream big and achieve global recognition in performance motorcycling. This move is a testament to the potential of Indian talent and technology to create world-class products that can compete on the international stage.
