Ultraviolette Introduces 8 Lakh Km Battery And Drivetrain Warranty
Bangalore-based EV firm, Ultraviolette Automotive, has launched its all-new extended Battery and Drivetrain warranty structure for its electric motorcycle - the F77.
With the new warranty policy, Ultraviolette is offering up to 8,00,000 km of warranty on the drivetrain and battery to new buyers of their vehicles. Existing customers are also eligible to claim their extended warranty on their existing F77 bike as well.

The decision to offer an extended warranty comes as a result of an F77 electric motor that clocked over 1,00,000km on the road, while still managing to retain 95 per cent of the original rated battery capacity. The same Ultraviolette F77 also got an ARAI IDC rating of over 304km on a single charge.
Ultraviolette has announced that its new warranty program will continue to offer 3 different packages – UV Care, UV Care+ and UV Care Max. The UV Care package offers coverage for 3 years or 60,000 kilometres; the UV Care+ package offers coverage for 5 years or 1,00,000 kilometres; and the UV Care Max offers coverage for 8 years or 8,00,000 kilometres.

CTO & Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, Niraj Rajmohan stated, “Being the global pioneer in battery technology and offering an extensive warranty is a testament to Ultraviolette's commitment to revolutionising the electric mobility landscape. The introduction of the new warranty structure for battery and drivetrain is underpinned by rigorous efforts in battery engineering, including meticulous validation processes spanning five levels of safety, and future-ready battery technology. Ultraviolette's extended warranty reaffirms the uncompromising quality and reliability of our electric motorcycles.”
CEO & Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, Narayan Subramaniam stated, “At Ultraviolette, we have always believed in pushing the boundaries of innovation and this new warranty structure is a validation of that. Over the last 7 years, we have significantly advanced battery technology and standards. With this new offering, the F77 will not just be fast and capable but also be reassuring to own. The extensive coverage of 800,000 km is set to surpass all riding expectations, creating a new benchmark in EV ownership and experience.”

Ultraviolette's new warranty program stands as a testament to UV’s commitment to ensuring durable and reliable products in the Indian domestic market. The fact that the F77 battery can still have 95 per cent capacity even after being ridden for over 1,00,000 kilometres, shows the level of Ultraviolette’s manufacturing.
