TVS Raider 125 Soars Past 8 Lakh Sales Milestone: Showcases Market Dominance
TVS Motors has made significant strides in the competitive two-wheeler market, particularly with its Raider 125 model. In a span of just two and a half years, cumulative sales of the Raider 125 have soared past the 8 lakh mark, showcasing the brand's growing dominance in this segment.
Commencing the financial year 2025 on a high note, TVS reported a 29 per cent year-on-year surge in two-wheeler sales, totalling 3,01,449 units in April alone. This growth is attributed to the increased sales across its scooter, motorcycle, and moped categories.
Among TVS's diverse portfolio, the Raider 125 stands out, not only as the company's bestselling bike in FY2024 but also as a major contributor to its motorcycle sales, accounting for 40 per cent.
This 125cc motorcycle witnessed a 62 per cent increase in sales in April 2024 compared to the previous year. Its rapid sales growth underscores its popularity and the increasing consumer demand for sporty 125cc motorcycles.
The Raider 125's sales trajectory is impressive, with a sales increase of 212 per cent in FY2023 and a subsequent 100 percent in FY2024, highlighting its growing acceptance and preference among Indian riders.
TVS's strategic focus on this model has not only enabled it to surpass the sales of its Apache series but also significantly contribute to the company's overall two-wheeler sales success.
Facing competition from established names like the Bajaj Pulsar, Honda Shine, and Hero MotoCorp models, the Raider 125 has carved a niche for itself in the 125cc commuter motorcycle market.
Its sporty design, appealing to Gen Z buyers, and features like a TFT dash in the top-spec variant, set it apart from its competitors. With an ex-showroom price starting at Rs 95,219 in Delhi, the Raider 125 offers value and style, making it a preferred choice among the younger demographic.
