TVS Motor Celebrated Independence Day With Limited Edition iQube Electric Scooter
TVS Motor has introduced a limited edition of its iQube electric scooter to mark India's 78th Independence Day. The iQube is among the top-selling electric scooters in India, and this new edition has sparked considerable interest.
TVS Motor, headquartered in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, is a prominent manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers in India. The company launched its first electric scooter, the iQube, in early 2020. Although initial sales were slow due to the COVID-19 pandemic, demand has surged recently as more consumers opt for electric scooters.
The new iQube Celebration Edition aims to further increase sales and is part of the Independence Day festivities. Pre-bookings for this limited edition start on August 15 and will be open for 11 days, closing on August 26. TVS has stated that bookings will end if 1,000 units are sold within this period.
The TVS iQube electric scooter comes in five variants: 2.2kWh, Standard, S, ST, and ST 5.1kWh. The Standard, S, and ST variants are equipped with a 3.4kWh battery. The new Celebration Edition is available only for the Standard and S variants with the 3.4kWh battery.
The new iQube Celebration Edition includes all features of the Standard and S variants. The ex-showroom price for the Standard Celebration Edition is Rs. 1,19,628, while the S Celebration Edition costs Rs. 1,29,420.
Design-wise, the Celebration Edition scooters come in dual-tone colours with a 'Celebration Edition' logo prominently displayed. With a fully charged 3.4 kWh battery, the new iQube can travel up to 100 km on a single charge. The top speed of the TVS iQube electric scooter is 78 kmph.
