TVS Mobility, overseen by the T S Rajam family, has announced a partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation (MC). This collaboration will introduce the TVS Mobility Mitsubishi Employee Exchange Program (TMMEEP). The initiative aims to foster mutual growth and innovation between the two companies.
The program will see MC Japan and its partners hosting TVS Mobility employees. They will receive training in various automotive and mobility sectors, including auction inspections and service mechanics.
Conversely, TVS Mobility India will host MC employees, offering insights into digital deployment in the aftermarket business.
This exchange is open to employees under 45 years old with over three years of service at either company.

Focus on Skill Development
This unique exchange program is designed to enhance skills, domain knowledge, and business management expertise. It also aims to train future leaders within both organisations. The initiative is expected to facilitate seamless cross-learning and foster collaborative success.
Mr. R. Dinesh, Director of TVS Mobility Group, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. He stated, "We are excited to embark on this journey with Mitsubishi Corporation as there is a huge scope to address skill gaps and share best practices between the two organisations." He added that the platform would help leverage synergies and identify mutually beneficial projects.
Strengthening Relationships
Mr. Wakabayashi, Executive Vice President & Mobility Group CEO at Mitsubishi Corporation, shared his thoughts on the partnership. "We are pleased to expand mobility business in the Indian market together with the TVS Mobility Group," he said. He highlighted their long-standing relationship since 2018 and expressed hope that the exchange program would deepen cultural understanding and contribute to both companies' development.
The program's scope includes enhancing partnerships between TVS Mobility group companies and Mitsubishi Corporation. It aims to increase Indian talent mobility to Japan, addressing Japan's skilled manpower shortage. Additionally, Japanese talent involvement in India will promote cultural integration.
Operational Improvements
The initial activities of this program include operational improvements in workflows and processes. There will be opportunities for supply chain visibility enhancements and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. These efforts aim to facilitate mutual learning and cultural integration.
The flexibility of movement within TVS Mobility companies is a key feature of this program. Employees can rotate between various functions within TVS Supply Chain Solutions, TVS Vehicle Mobility Solutions, Ki Mobility, and other manufacturing companies. Similarly, rotations within Mitsubishi's Automotive and Mobility group functions will be available.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards strengthening ties between India and Japan through skill development and cultural exchange. The initiative promises long-term benefits for both companies by fostering innovation and mutual growth.
