Triumph & Bajaj To Launch New Affordable Speed 400 Variant In India
Triumph's Speed 400 motorcycle, priced at ₹2,34,000 ex-showroom, is a result of a collaboration with Bajaj. This partnership aims to cater to the Indian market by offering an affordable bike. Reports indicate that a more budget-friendly variant of the Speed 400 will soon be launched. This new version is expected to be unveiled on the 17th, as confirmed by Triumph through a teaser image.
The upcoming variant has generated considerable interest among Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts due to its anticipated lower price point. However, this reduced cost may come with some compromises in features. Potential modifications could include changes in the seat, screen, suspension, and braking setup. A price reduction of ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 is expected, though Triumph has not officially confirmed these details.

The Speed 400 is Triumph's most affordable bike model and boasts several unique features. The design incorporates round-shaped accessories for an appealing look, including the headlight, rearview mirrors, and instrument cluster. It features an analog speedometer paired with an LCD display. The bike uses a TR series engine known for its high power output.
This engine is a 398.15cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve DOHC motor that produces 39.5 BHP and 37.5 Nm of torque. It also includes a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. The suspension system consists of a 43 mm USD fork at the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear.
Triumph is set to unveil another Modern Classic bike at its dealership in Pullman Aero City, New Delhi. The company is actively preparing for this event. The new variant's launch on the 17th will provide more details about its features and pricing.

Despite the excitement surrounding the new variant, it's important to note that official information about specific changes or reductions in features has not been released yet. Enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting further announcements from Triumph.
The Speed 400's appeal lies in its combination of affordability and advanced features. All lights on the bike are LED, enhancing visibility and safety. The bike's design and performance make it an attractive option for riders looking for a balance between cost and quality.
As we await the official launch, it's clear that Triumph's collaboration with Bajaj has resulted in a promising addition to the Indian motorcycle market. The new variant is expected to offer a differentiated option within the standard engine capacity and features.
With the unveiling scheduled for the 17th, all key details about this new variant will soon be available. This launch marks another step in Triumph's efforts to provide affordable yet feature-rich motorcycles to Indian consumers.
