Triumph Opens 100th Dealership In India: Affordable Models Helps Expansion

Triumph's network in India has expanded significantly, growing from 16 showrooms in 16 cities to 100 showrooms across 75 cities. This rapid growth is largely driven by the introduction of their most affordable motorcycles yet: the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X.

Triumph's Partnership With Bajaj

The collaboration with Bajaj Auto has been pivotal for Triumph's expansion. The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X are co-developed with Bajaj, making them more accessible to Indian consumers.

Furthermore, Triumph recently celebrated selling 50,000 units of these models across 50 countries, including the USA, Japan, Germany, the UK, and Australia.

In order to celebrate this milestone, the brand offered discounts on both bikes and plans to organise various events such as welcome rides for new customers and off-road rides for Scrambler owners.

Affordable Models Driving Growth

The Speed 400 is currently Triumph's most affordable motorcycle in India, priced at Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other end of the spectrum, the Rocket 3 Strom R is their most expensive model at Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite a recent price hike of ₹1,500 for both the 400cc models, their popularity remains strong.

DriveSpark Thinks

Triumph's affordable models have definitely helped the company reach more customers in a short period of time. The expansion of the dealership is a testament to the impact Triumph's Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have made in the Indian two-wheeler market.
