Triumph Motorcycles India Updates Prices For Its Roadster Models

Triumph Motorcycles India has updated the prices of its roadster range, including the Trident 660, Street Triple R and RS, and the top-of-the-line Speed Triple 1200 RS.

The Trident 660 and Speed Triple 1200 RS remain unchanged in price, while the Street Triple R now sells for Rs 9.95 lakh, a decrease of Rs 48,000 for the Pure White and Silver Ice liveries and Rs 22,000 for the Matte Baja Orange and Crystal White colourways, now priced at Rs 10.21 lakh.

Price Changes for Street Triple Models

The higher-spec Street Triple RS has seen a price increase of Rs 14,000 for the Phantom Black, Carnival Red and Cosmic Yellow shades, now retailing at Rs 12.21 lakh. However, the Silver Ice livery has experienced a drop of Rs 12,000, now costing Rs 11.95 lakh. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom.

Both Street Triple models share the same platform, including an aluminium twin-spar chassis and a 765cc inline-triple engine paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring a bidirectional quickshifter as standard.

The engine tunes differ between the two models: the Street Triple R produces 118.4 bhp at 11,500 rpm while the Street Triple RS generates 128.2 bhp at 12,000 rpm. Both bikes have peak torque outputs of 80 Nm at 9,500 rpm.

Differences in Cycle Parts and Electronic Rider Aids

The R model is fitted with Showa SFF-BP USDs/monoshock suspension while the higher-spec RS features Showa BPF USDs and an Ohlins monoshock setup. Both setups offer adjustable compression and rebound damping as well as preload adjustment.

In terms of braking systems, the R model has Brembo M4.32 four-piston calipers while the RS is equipped with top-spec Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers.

The electronic rider aids suite on the R model includes four riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Rider), whereas the RS adds an extra Track mode to those options.

Both motorcycles come with an IMU that offers variable traction control and ABS settings. The R model features a digital display similar to that of the Trident 660 while the RS boasts a full-colour TFT dash.

In related news, Triumph's Daytona 660 has started arriving at dealerships in anticipation of its imminent launch in India. Additionally, Triumph recently unveiled its limited-edition Bonneville T120 Elvis Presley Edition with only 925 units available worldwide.
