Hero Mavrick 440 – Top 5 Things You Need To Know
Hero Motocorp recently launched the new Hero Mavrick 440. Though this motorcycle is based on the Harley-Davidson X440, a few changes have been made. As such, here are the top 5 things about the new Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle.
Variants & Price
The new Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle is available in 3 variants - Base, Mid, and Top. While the 'Base' variant is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the 'Mid' spec version is priced at Rs 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

That being said, the top-spec Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle is priced at Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Also, to justify this price tag, it comes with plenty of additional bits including machined engine fins.
Features
In terms of features, the top-spec Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle comes equipped with features such as all-LED lighting technology, a fully digital instrument cluster, connected tech with E-sim connectivity features and much more.

Powertrain
Powering the new Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle is the same 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that powers the Harley-Davidson X440. In the Hero Mavrick 440, this engine puts out 26bhp at 6,000rpm and 36Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
Also, like the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle, the newly launched Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle also uses the same 6-speed gearbox with Slip and Assist clutch system. It is also worth mentioning that 90 per cent of the peak torque is available from 2,000rpm itself.

Suspension & Tyres
Despite using the same chassis as the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle, the new Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle uses a more conventional 43mm telescopic suspension setup at the front, whereas the rear continues to feature a twin shock setup.
Also, unlike the Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle, the Hero Mavrick 440 uses 17-inch wheels at both ends. The front tyre measures 110/70 R17, whereas the rear tyre measures 150/60 R17.
Braking
In terms of braking hardware, the newly launched Hero Mavrick 440 features a 320mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear. Furthermore, the motorcycle also features a dual-channel ABS unit for more effective braking performance.
Thoughts About The Hero Mavrick 440
Hero Motocorp has already opened bookings for the new Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle at Rs 5,000. Furthermore, deliveries of the Hero Mavrick 440 motorcycle are set to commence on April 15.
That being said, the 'Base' variant of the Mavrick 440 is too basic and doesn't justify its near Rs 2 lakh price tag. As such, going for the Mid and Top-spec variants of the model makes better sense.
