Top 10 Best-Selling Motorcycles In India: November 2024 Sales Trends
The demand for scooters is rising both in India and globally. However, some customers still prefer motorcycles, especially those who enjoy gear shifting. Despite this, motorcycle sales in India saw a decline in November 2024 compared to the same month in 2023. This article examines the top 10 best-selling bike models from last November.
In November 2024, the top 10 bike models sold a total of 810,674 units. This is a decrease from November 2023, when these models sold 845,424 units. The Hero Splendor maintained its position as the best-selling bike with 293,828 units sold last month, up from 250,786 units in November 2023.
The Hero Splendor experienced a sales increase of 17.16%, making it one of only two bikes in the top 10 to see growth compared to November 2023. Meanwhile, the Honda Shine, ranked second, saw a sales decline of 6.68%, with 145,530 units sold in November 2024 compared to 155,943 units the previous year.
Bajaj Pulsar, holding the third spot, also faced a decrease in sales by 12.22%. Last month, it sold 114,467 units compared to 130,403 in November 2023. Similarly, Hero HF Deluxe's sales dropped significantly by 47.39%, with only 61,245 units sold last month.
Bajaj Platina secured the fifth position with sales of 44,578 units last month, marking a decline of 26.45% from November 2023. TVS Motor's Apache and Raider models took the sixth and seventh spots with sales figures of 35,610 and 31,769 units respectively.
The Honda CB Unicorn ranked eighth with sales of 30,678 units. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Hero Xtreme 125R rounded out the list at ninth and tenth positions with sales of 27,514 and 25,455 units respectively.
Market Observations
Despite the increase in Hero Splendor's sales, the overall decline in motorcycle sales raises questions about consumer preferences shifting towards scooters. It remains to be seen if this trend will continue in the coming months.
