Suzuki Motorcycle India Boosts Gurgaon Police Fleet With V-Strom SX 250
Suzuki Motorcycle India has provided 40 customised V-Strom SX 250 motorcycles to the Gurgaon Police. This handover is part of Suzuki's CSR initiative to improve road and rider safety. The event was inaugurated by Vikas Arora, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, and Kenichi Umeda, MD of Suzuki Motorcycle India.
The police-spec V-Strom SX 250 features several modifications. These include a custom white paint job, a tall windscreen, and 'Police' lettering on the front and fuel tank. Additionally, the bikes are equipped with red and blue beacon lights and a siren.
Specifications of Suzuki V-Strom SX 250
The V-Strom SX 250 is powered by a 249 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. It produces around 25 bhp at 9,300 rpm and 22 Nm of peak torque at 7,300 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike features telescopic forks at the front and a 7-step preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear.
Braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS for added safety. The motorcycle rides on dual-purpose tyres with a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear.
Features of Suzuki V-Strom SX 250
The V-Strom SX 250 comes with several modern features. It includes a digital instrument console and a USB charging port. The kerb weight of the bike is 167 kg. The standard model offers three colour options: Champion Yellow Number Two, Pearl Blaze Orange, and Glass Sparkle Black.
Additional features include Bluetooth connectivity that provides missed call alerts, caller ID, turn-by-turn navigation, call, SMS and WhatsApp message alerts, ETA updates, and speed-exceeding alerts. The bike is priced at ₹2.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
