Suzuki Motorcycle India Reaches 1 Million Production Milestone In 2023-24

Suzuki Motorcycle India has recently achieved a significant milestone in its production history. The company announced that it has succeeded in producing 1 million two-wheelers within the fiscal year 2023-24, fully utilizing the plant's annual production capacity in under a year.

Notably, the 1 millionth unit to exit the factory was a Suzuki Access, underscoring the popularity and demand for this particular model. This achievement is particularly impressive given that Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. was established in February 2006, and has since experienced consistent growth and expansion within the industry.

Commitment to Growth

Mr. Rajneesh Kumar Mehta, Executive Vice President of Production at Suzuki Motorcycle India, remarked on this achievement, highlighting the efforts made to surpass the initial installed capacity due to the rising demand for Suzuki two-wheelers both domestically and internationally.

He acknowledged the ingenuity and dedication of the workmen and engineers who operated the plant at peak capacity and took measures to enhance its output. This concerted effort has enabled the company to meet the consistently increasing market demand.

Upcoming Product Launch

In line with its commitment to innovation and meeting customer expectations, Suzuki Motorcycle India is gearing up to introduce the V-Strom 800 DE in the Indian market. The motorcycle, which was recently showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, is powered by a new 776 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine.

It delivers 83 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter. Suzuki has also claimed a fuel efficiency of 22.7 km/l for this model, indicating a blend of performance and efficiency.

He emphasized the milestone as a testament to Suzuki's unwavering commitment to fulfilling customer expectations in both quantity and quality, associated with the Suzuki brand.
