Spy Pics: Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Spotted Testing
Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has been spotted testing a more off-road-friendly version of the Himalayan 450. Expected to bear the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally nameplate, this newest version of the Himalayan sports different components and body graphics compared to the regular version of the ADV.
The prototype version of the Himalayan 450 Rally was recently spied testing and featured a larger up-swept rally-style exhaust, a rally-style rear fender and cross-spoked wheels. Also seen on the test mule were knuckle guards and different graphics with the word "Rally" seen on the side.

Not much else is known about the Himalayan 450 Rally, but the upcoming bike is expected to share its powerplant with the regular version of the new Himalayan. The 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine produces 40bhp and 40Nm of peak torque and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The regular Himalayan 450 rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels and features 320 mm front and 270 mm rear disc brakes along with 43mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. While it is most likely that the Rally version could retain this setup, there is also a chance that it could feature an adjustable suspension setup.

Thoughts About The Himalayan 450 Rally
A more focused version of the Himalayan 450 could be the motorcycle that many Royal Enfield off-roading fans have been hoping for. We're also still not sure when this version of the Himalayan ADV is set to make its debut though considering the state of the Rally test mule, that must not be too far away.

As expected, details about this Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally are still being kept close to the chest by the Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer. However, all that could change next month with both EICMA and Royal Enfield's own Motoverse gathering set to see a bevvy of announcements from the marque.
