Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Vs Harley-Davidson X440: Specs Comparison
Royal Enfield recently gained the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts in India by launching the new Guerrilla 450 motorcycle. This is a neo-retro motorcycle based on the new Himalayan and competes with similar motorcycles including the Harley-Davidson X440.
Since both the newly launched Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 and the Harley-Davidson X440 compete for the attention of similar set of customer base, here is a quick comparison between both these motorcycles.

Powertrain
The new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is powered by a 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which produces 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Moreover, this engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with slip-and-assist clutch.
On the other hand, the Harley-Davidson X440 sports a bigger single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine. This engine produces 27bhp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The new Harley-Davidson X440 motorcycle also comes with a 6-speed gearbox.
Suspension
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 features conventional 43mm telescopic forks at the front and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. In comparison, the Harley-Davidson X440 comes with 43mm USD Big Piston forks at the front and a pair of gas-filled shock absorbers at the rear.

Brakes
In terms of braking hardware, the new Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 sports a 310mm disc brake at the front and a smaller 270mm disc at the rear. On the other hand, the HD X440 sports a slightly bigger 320mm disc at the front and a smaller 240mm disc at the rear. Also, both bikes feature dual-channel ABS.
Kerb Weight & Tyres
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 weighs 185kg and features 120/70 R17 tyres at the front and 160/60 R17 tyres at the rear. Surprisingly, the Harley-Davidson X440 weighs 5.5kg more at 190.5kg. The model also sports narrower 100/90 R18 tyres at the front and 140/70 R17 tyres at the rear.
Price
The newly launched Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is available in 3 variants and prices for the model starts at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
On the other hand, the Harley-Davidson X440 is also available in only 3 variants, and prices for the model start at an identical Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom) but the top-spec version is more expensive with a price tag of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
