New Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450: Variant-Wise Features Explained

Royal Enfield has officially launched the Guerrilla 450, new motorcycle aimed at competing with models like the Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, and Hero Mavrick 440. The bike is now available in showrooms across India, and dealership training has begun.

The Guerrilla 450 is available in three variants: Analogue, Dash, and Flash. These are priced at Rs 2.39 lakh, Rs 2.49 lakh, and Rs 2.54 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). These introductory prices are set for the Indian market. Bookings have started, with test rides and deliveries scheduled to begin on 1st August 2024.

The base Analogue variant features a single-tone paint scheme of Smokey Silver with Playa Black accents. It includes a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer and digital readouts for fuel level, trip meter, and odometer. This variant also offers smartphone connectivity for calls and SMS along with turn-by-turn navigation.

The mid-spec Dash trim presents a more premium look with dual-tone colour schemes available in Playa Black and Gold Dip. It retains an analogue instrument cluster but adds a TFT console that supports smartphone connectivity for calls, music, and navigation via Google Maps.

The top-spec Flash variant comes in two dual-tone colour options: Brava Blue and Yellow Ribbon. Brava Blue combines shades of blue with white accents while Yellow Ribbon features black with yellow and purple accents.

This variant includes LED headlamps with turn indicators, a 4.0-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, Google Maps integration, a USB type C port, and media controls.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 – Powertrain Specifications

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is powered by a Sherpa 450 engine. This 452cc single-cylinder engine delivers 39.5hp at 8,000 rpm and 40Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring slip and assist clutch.

Braking duties are handled by a 310mm ventilated disc with double piston caliper at the front and a 270mm ventilated disc with single piston caliper at the rear.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 – Dimensions

The Guerrilla measures 2,090mm in length, 833mm in width, and stands at a height of 1,125mm with a wheelbase of 1,440mm. Weighing in at 186 kg, it is designed for both daily commutes and weekend trips. The seat height is set at 780mm while ground clearance is maintained at 169mm. The fuel tank capacity stands at 11 litres.

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 – Suspension and Wheels

Suspension duties are managed by a 43mm telescopic fork up front and a rear monoshock setup. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with tyres measuring 120/70 section at the front and 160/60 section at the rear. The certified mileage for this model is noted to be around 29.5 km/l.

This new entry from Royal Enfield aims to carve out its space in the sub-500cc street naked motorcycle segment by offering varied features across its three variants to cater to different rider preferences.
