Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Spotted: A First Look At Two Variants

A video has surfaced, revealing the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 for the first time without any disguise. The footage displays two Guerrilla 450 motorcycles, suggesting that there may be two different versions of the bike.

Second Variant and Features

One variant features a striking red and gold colour scheme, complete with a round TFT instrument cluster similar to the one on the Royalfield Himalayan 450. This could indicate a higher-end model with more advanced features and information displays.

The other variant seems more budget-friendly, with a simpler silverish-blue paint job and a semi-digital instrument cluster. It also includes a small round Tripper navigation module, akin to the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. This setup focuses on providing essential information and basic navigation functions.

The Guerrilla 450 will be the second motorcycle built on Royal Enfield's new Himalayan platform, using the recently developed liquid-cooled, single-cylinder Sherpa 450 engine with a displacement of 452cc. Although exact power and torque figures are yet to be confirmed, some believe that slight tuning adjustments may set the Guerrilla's performance apart from its Himalayan sibling.

Design Elements and Suspension

Leaked images have unveiled various design aspects of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. It is anticipated to borrow the LED headlamp and indicators from the Himalayan model. Additionally, it will feature telescopic front forks instead of upside-down forks and is expected to have a preload monoshock rear suspension setup.

The Guerrilla 450 will also come with a flat handlebar, alloy wheels fitted with road-biased tyres, and a unique riding triangle compared to the Himalayan. This indicates an emphasis on agility and handling for a more street-focused riding experience.

It is also speculated that the Guerrilla will be lighter than its Himalayan counterpart; however, the exact weight difference remains unknown. Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director of Royal Enfield, recently shared a teaser image confirming that the global launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is scheduled for July 17, 2024.
