Royal Enfield To Unveil Guerrilla 450 In Barcelona On July 17

Royal Enfield has confirmed the official launch of the Guerrilla 450 on July 17 in Barcelona. The announcement was made by Siddhartha Lal, Managing Director, and Govindarajan Balakrishnan, CEO of the company. While the Guerrilla 450 shares many components with the Himalayan, it seems to be primarily designed for on-road use and is expected to be more affordable than its ADV counterpart.

Guerrilla 450: What we know so far

Previous spy shots have provided some insight into the upcoming Guerrilla 450's hardware. The images revealed features such as a single-pod instrument console, a round LED headlight, a large fuel tank, and a one-piece seat.

It is unclear whether the single-pod console will resemble the TFT display found on the Himalayan. The tank and tail sections appear similar to those of the Himalayan 450, suggesting a shared design.

Unlike the Himalayan's spoked wheels and tube tyres, the new bike comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Moreover, it features a gaitered telescopic fork instead of the USD fork seen on the Himalayan.

The Guerrilla 450 will also use the same Sherpa 450 engine that powers its sibling. However, it remains to be seen how this engine will be tuned for the new model. In the Himalayan, the 452cc single-cylinder engine produces 40hp and 40Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

That being said, the upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 motorcycle is expected to further spice up the growing 400+cc motorcycle segment in India. We also expect this motorcycle to have a wide range of capabilities.
