Royal Enfield Bear 650 Revealed Ahead Of Launch In India: Interesting Design Details & More
Royal Enfield is expanding its 350cc, 450cc, and 650cc ranges. The company has now officially teased the Royal Enfield Bear 650. This model will be the first scrambler from the brand based on its popular 650cc platform. Let's delve into what makes this upcoming motorcycle noteworthy.
Royal Enfield Bear 650: A New Adventure
The initial leaks of Royal Enfield's 650cc scrambler stirred excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide. This model is a lighter, off-road-focused version of the Interceptor 650. It boasts numerous upgraded features and components compared to its predecessor.

Royal Enfield has confirmed that their new Scrambler will be called Bear 650, aligning with their recent naming conventions. Previously, there were speculations about names like Scram 650 and Interceptor Bear 650. However, the official name puts these rumours to rest.
Design and Features
The Bear 650 maintains a design close to the Interceptor 650 but introduces some distinct elements. Notably, it features USD telescopic front forks in a striking gold finish, marking a first for this chassis. The rear retains a twin-shock setup, while the upcoming Himalayan 650 will be the first to feature a rear mono-shock.
In terms of aesthetics, the Bear 650 offers both single-tone and dual-tone colour options as seen in teasers. It also sports a single exhaust setup which aids in reducing weight. Another standout feature is the inclusion of a 5-inch Tripper Dash with functionalities like Google Maps and music controls.
Performance and Engine
The Royal Enfield Bear 650 is powered by a robust 648cc parallel-twin oil-cooled engine. This engine delivers an impressive output of 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. In teasers, the exhaust note seems reworked to resemble an American V-Twin sound.

The teaser showcases diverse landscapes transitioning from urban settings to deserts. This suggests that Royal Enfield envisions this motorcycle as an escape vehicle for off-road adventures beyond daily routines. The teaser's narration was provided by Eddie Mulder, a well-known motorcycle racer and stuntman.
Anticipated Launch
The launch of the Royal Enfield Bear 650 is anticipated in 2025. As more details emerge about this exciting addition to Royal Enfield's lineup, enthusiasts eagerly await further announcements regarding its features and specifications.
