Royal Enfield 750 Twins Could Soon Replace The 650 Twins: Check Out All The Details Here

When Royal Enfield launched the 650 Twins in India, those models were not only a game changer in India but for the automaker as well. Moreover, the Royal Enfield 650 Twins were equally loved in both domestic and international markets.

In fact, many automobile enthusiasts across the globe loved the Royal Enfield 650 Twins for their simplicity and character. In fact, in many international markets, the Royal Enfield Twins are consistently pitted against the Triumph Speed Twin 900.

In most comparisons with the Triumph Speed Twin 900, the Royal Enfield Twins manage to stand their ground with strong characteristics. However, the one area in which Royal Enfield Twins lag behind the Triumph is the powertrain.

The Triumph Speed Twin 900 with its much bigger 900cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine with 64.1bhp and 80Nm torque could easily gap the Royal Enfield Twins, making the latter less interesting for younger riders.

That being said, Royal Enfield is likely to address this issue with a more powerful 750cc parallel-twin engine. This engine could produce approximately 60bhp of peak power and 55Nm of peak torque.

Interceptor 650

It is also worth mentioning that the Royal Enfield's upcoming 750cc engine is most likely to be based on its outgoing 650cc parallel-twin engine. This will save plenty of development time and money for the automaker.

Since the 650cc, parallel-twin engine already sits tightly in the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT, we expect the upcoming 750cc Royal Enfield engine to have a bigger bore compared to the outgoing 650cc engine.

This bigger bore is likely to make the upcoming 750cc Royal Enfield engine a lot more rev happier. Also, this bigger bore is likely to result in the engine making peak power at higher RPM, lending the motorcycle a sportier character.

That being said, Royal Enfield Twins were recently updated with a few modern amenities such as LED headlights, and alloy wheels in some variants. Moreover, prices of the Royal Enfield Twins currently start at Rs 3.03 lakh (ex-showroom).

Thoughts About The Royal Enfield 750 Twins

If launched, the upcoming Royal Enfield 750 Twins are likely to replace the Royal Enfield 650 Twins in both domestic and international markets. Moreover, we expect the 750 Twins to be a lot more sportier and much more direct rival to the Triumph Speed Twin 900.
