Quantum Energy Partners With Battery Smart: 900 Swap Stations Across 25+ Cities
Quantum Energy, a player in India's electric two-wheeler market, has announced a partnership with Battery Smart, the country's largest battery-swapping network for electric vehicles.
Through this partnership, Battery Smart's network of over 900 swap stations across 25+ cities will support battery swapping for Quantum's electric scooters, enabling users to gain access to fully charged batteries within two minutes. This is to address concerns over range anxiety and long charging downtimes.
Quantum Energy and Battery Smart is set to empower businesses to scale their electric fleets with confidence. By using Battery Smart's battery-as-a-service model, drivers can eliminate worries about battery replacement costs, reducing the total amount of owning a Quantum Electric scooter.
Battery swapping, also known as battery switching, is an electric vehicle technology enabling battery electric vehicles to replace an empty battery pack with a fully charged one, offering an alternative to recharging the vehicle at a charging station.
Ms Chetana C., Director of Quantum E-Scooters, stated, "Our partnership with Battery Smart supports our vision to accelerate the transition to electric last-mile transportation. By enabling easy battery swapping for our commercial fleet customers, we can reduce their EV ownership costs and give them the confidence to scale their electric fleets across India."
Yogiraj Gogia, Senior Director of Partnerships and Fleet Business at Battery Smart, added, "With this partnership, we aim to further accelerate EV adoption in India by offering innovative commercial EV fleets access to our growing network of swap stations, thereby empowering more drivers to join the EV revolution."
Quantum Energy offers a range of scooters in India, including the Bziness and its variants Bziness Pro, Bziness Lite, and Bziness S.
With Battery Smart's network of swapping stations located close to high-density delivery and traffic areas, will allow Quantum Energy scooters to service routes more efficiently.
Businesses transitioning to Quantum's electric fleet will benefit from lower maintenance costs, reduced emissions, and a smaller carbon footprint across their mobility operations.
