Ola S1 X Launched At Rs 69,999 - Deliveries Start Next Week
Electric scooter manufacturer Ola Electric has revealed the updated pricing for the S1 X lineup. The Ola S1 X lineup now starts at Rs 69,999 (ex-showroom).
Ola introduced the S1 X lineup back in February but today it revised the pricelist for its entry-level scooter. Prices for the Ola S1 X have dropped by up to Rs 10,000 from the originally announced price.

The base Ola S1 X (2kWh) was originally priced at Rs 79,999 but is now offered at an introductory price of Rs 69,999. The mid-spec Ola S1 X (3kWh) was originally priced at Rs 89,999 and is now available at Rs 84,999.
The top-spec Ola S1 X (4kWh), offers a range of 195km (IDC), a 0-40km/h sprint time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 90km/h, was originally priced at Rs 109,999 but is now available at Rs 99,999 (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom).

The Ola S1 X (4kWh) gets the same battery pack as the flagship Ola S1 Pro model. The S1 X (4kWh)'s big battery pack takes six and a half hours to fully charge and ensures that this version of the S1 X is the heaviest version of the entry-level Ola electric scooter currently on sale in India at 112 kilogrammes.

This battery pack and the ones on all the other variants like every S1 variant are offered with an 8-year/ 80,000km warranty as standard. The Ola S1 X 3kWh and 2kWh models deliver IDC ranges of 143km and 93km on a single charge.
While the 3kWh model is as quick as the 4kWh variant, the base Ola S1 X scooter with the 2kWh battery pack is lightly slower. It takes 4.1 seconds to go from 0-40km/h and has a top speed of 85km/h. All versions of the S1 X offer three riding modes - Eco, Normal and Sports.
Ola Electric released a statement about the new pricing for the S1 X lineup stating, "We believe India's EV industry has reached an inflection point with the EV penetration in the 2W segment at an all-time high last month. Our S1 X portfolio now addresses the high upfront cost of EVs which is one of the major barriers to EV adoption.
Ola's robust cost structures coupled with vertically integrated in-house technology and manufacturing capabilities enable us to price our products competitively. With new prices of S1 X and a wide product portfolio across all popular price points, we are confident of driving EV penetration further across the country."
Thoughts About The New Pricing For The Ola S1 X Lineup
The new pricing for the Ola S1 X lineup sees the Bangalore-based electric scooter manufacturer really go for the jugular of the ICE scooter market as it looks to make pure-electric scooters affordable for every Indian.
