Ola S1 X 4kWh Launched At Rs 1.1 Lakh - Charging & Service Network Expansions, 8-Year Warranty Announced
Ola Electric has launched the new S1 X 4kWh variant in India with a price tag of Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the new S1 X 4kWh will begin in April alongside the other S1 X variants including the S1 X+ that were announced last August.
The Ola Electric S1 X 4kWh offers the same battery pack seen on the S1 Pro scooter which Ola claims delivers a range of 190km (IDC) on a single charge. The Ola S1 X 4kWh takes six and a half hours to fully charge its battery pack and weighs in at 112 kilogrammes, making it the heaviest scooter in the S1 X range.
Ola claims that the S1 X can sprint from 0-40km/h in 3.3 seconds and that the new electric scooter has a top speed of 90km/h. These numbers are identical to the 3kWh S1 X and the S1 X+ variants of the electric scooter.
Ola Electric has also announced that it will be offering an 8-year/ 80,000km warranty for its battery packs at no extra cost to new customers. Customers can opt to extend this warranty to 1 lakh kilometres by paying an additional 4,999. The warranty can be extended to 1.25 lakh kilometres for Rs 13,999.
Ola Electric announced a massive expansion of its charging and service networks. The Bangalore-based EV firm announced that it was expanding its charging network, currently 1,000 chargers strong to 10,000 by the next quarter. Ola also announced a 3kW fast charger that customers can purchase for Rs 29,999.
Ola Electric also announced that it would be expanding its after-sales service network by 50 per cent from the current 414 service centres to over 600 centres across the country by April 2024.

Thoughts About The New Ola S1 X Variant & Expansion
Ola's announcements today show that the Bangalore-based EV firm is willing to listen to its customers and implement the changes needed to keep them happy. While the new variant offers a good balance between range and price, the updated warranty along with the charging and service network expansions are even more welcome.
