Ola S1 X Scooter Delivery Starts: Expanding India's EV Landscape

Ola Electric recently marked a significant milestone by starting the delivery of its latest offering, the S1 X scooter, in numerous cities across India. Aimed at the mass market, the S1 X is available in three battery sizes - 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh.

Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer at Ola Electric Technologies, commented, "Our entry into the mass-market portfolio helps us widen our target customer base, enabling an increasing number of current and potential 2W users to join India's rapidly evolving EV landscape,".

Ola Electric has revised the prices for its S1 X portfolio. The scooters now start at an introductory price of Rs 69,999 for the 2kWh version, with the 3kWh and 4kWh variants priced at Rs 84,999 and Rs 99,999 respectively.

The revisions also include updated pricing for the S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1 X+ models, now tagged at Rs 1,29,999, Rs 1,04,999, and Rs 84,999 respectively (All prices in ex-showroom).

Features and Performance

The S1 X series brings the much-awaited physical key feature and addresses a range of customer requirements with its three battery options. The top-end 4kWh model boasts an impressive IDC-certified range of 190km, while the 3kWh and 2kWh versions offer 143km and 95km respectively.

With a 6kW motor, the scooters achieve quick acceleration, hitting 0-40 Km/h in just 3.3 seconds for the larger batteries and 4.1 seconds for the 2kWh variant. Furthermore, the models come with three riding modes (Eco, Normal, and Sports), allowing riders to adapt their experience to their immediate needs.

Extended Warranty and Accessories

Ola Electric's commitment to reducing barriers to EV adoption is further evidenced by its 8-year/80,000 km extended battery warranty offer. Additional warranty options are available, extending coverage to 1,00,000 km for Rs 4,999 and 1,25,000km for Rs 12,999. Additionally, a portable fast charger of 3KW is up for grabs at Rs 29,999.
