Ola Electric Expands Its Retail Network to 4,000 Locations Across India

In a bold move to dominate the electric vehicle (EV) market in India, Ola Electric has unveiled a significant strategy by increasing its retail presence with more than 3,200 new outlets. This expansion brings its total number of stores across the country to 4,000, marking it as the largest EV retail expansion in India. This growth aims to make electric vehicles more accessible not in metropolitan and tier-1 cities but also in tier-2 cities and rural areas.

To celebrate this expansive growth, Ola Electric is offering enticing benefits for customers interested in its S1 range of scooters. On December 25, 2024, buyers can enjoy benefits amounting to up to Rs 25,000. These include a discount of up to Rs 7,000 on the S1 X series and additional offers like Rs 5,000 off on selected credit card EMI transactions, along with MoveOS rewards valued at Rs 6,000.

Enhancing The Riding Experience With MoveOS 5

Ola is also focusing on enriching the user experience through software advancements with the launch of MoveOS 5. This new operating system promises to bring a host of innovative features such as Group Navigation, Live Location Sharing, Road Trip Mode, Smart Charging, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) alerts. These updates are available for priority registration in its beta version. In line with these technological advancements, Ola has introduced the S1 Pro Sona, a limited edition scooter adorned with 24-karat gold-plated components, showcasing luxury in electric mobility.

The S1 Pro Sona stands out not only for its gold elements but also for its unique "Sona Mood" interface and a customizable MoveOS dashboard, which allows riders to personalize their riding experience. This special edition scooter demonstrates Ola's commitment to combining luxury with innovation.

Expanding The S1 Range & Introducing the Roadster Series

In addition to software enhancements, Ola has expanded its scooter lineup with the introduction of the Gig and S1 Z series, setting the starting price remarkably low at Rs. 39,999. These new scooters cater to a wide range of uses, from city commuting to rural exploration, featuring removable batteries for added convenience. Reservation for these scooters begins at a nominal fee of Rs. 499, with deliveries expected in April and May 2025.

Ola's 'Sankalp' event was not just about scooters; the company also took the wraps off its Roadster motorcycle series, which includes the Roadster X, Roadster, and Roadster Pro. This expansion into motorcycles signifies Ola's ambition to cater to a broader audience. The company's S1 scooter portfolio now boasts six variants, offering a range of choices for different budgets. The top-end S1 Pro and S1 Air are priced at Rs. 1,34,999 and Rs. 1,07,499, respectively, while the S1 X series, available with 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh battery packs, are priced attractively.

Ola Electric's aggressive expansion and innovative offerings signify its commitment to leading the electric mobility revolution in India. With a vast network of stores, a diverse range of products, and cutting-edge software, Ola aims to make electric vehicles a practical choice for consumers across the country.
