Okaya EV's Ferrato: A New Player In Premium Electric Motorcycle Category
Okaya EV, a key player in India's electric vehicle (EV) market, is set to introduce a new premium brand named Ferrato. This move marks a significant step in the EV landscape, with the launch date for their electric motorcycle announced for 2nd May.
Accompanying the announcement is a teaser image of the electric motorcycle, dubbed the 'Disruptor'. With sporty design elements, the Disruptor is powered by a 6.4kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), promising a top speed of 95km/h and an impressive torque of 228Nm.
The introduction of Ferrato follows Okaya EV's successful launch of the Motofaast scooter, priced at Rs 1,36,999. The Motofaast, featuring a 2300W motor, offers a top speed of 70km/h and comes with three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sports.
Furthermore, its dual battery system, utilising LFP technology, ensures a riding range of 110 to 130km on a single charge and can be fully charged in just 4-5 hours - A decent specification for an electric vehicle in its segment.
As Ferrato gears up to make its debut, Okaya EV has revealed plans to establish over 100 dealerships and premium service centres specifically for the Ferrato sub-brand. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing customer experience and support for the new line of electric motorcycles.
