Oben Electric Plans For 50 Outlets In India: Electrifying Indian Roads

The EV manufacturer Oben Electric, a Bangalore-based startup has announced its plans for the expansion of its distribution network. Currently, Oben sells the Rorr electric bike through eight established showrooms, their plans involve setting up 12 new service centres and 50 new showrooms by the end of 2024, adding to their existing presence in major markets like Delhi, Pune, Kerala, and Bangalore, among other parts of India.

Oben Electric is currently operating out of eight established showrooms located in Delhi (Pitampura), Pune (Wakad area), Kerala (Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram), and Bangalore (HSR Layout, Electronic City, Banashankari and Rajajinagar). All outlets retail only one product, the Oben Rorr Electric motorcycle.

The Oben Rorr Electic motorcycle is a street-oriented electric bike that offers a slightly aggressive seating position, nimble handling and neo-retro styling. The Rorr is powered by a 4.4kWh battery pack that is paired with an 8kW motor, capable of a top speed of 100km/h and an IDC range of 187km on a single charge.

Apart from the new showrooms being display points for vehicles and sales, the new facilities are stated to have specialized Oben Care service centres, experience zones for customers with dedicated spaces where individuals can have a close-up look at the components of the Rorr, as well as retail sections which will have merchandise, accessories and other products.
