KTM Superduke 1390 R Launched At Rs 22.96 Lakh - Orange Beast Finally Arrives In India
KTM has finally launched its range of premium big bikes in India. Leading the charge is the firm's flagship naked bike, the KTM Superduke 1390 R which is priced at Rs 22.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
The KTM Superduke 1390 R is powered by a 1,350cc, LC8, V-twin engine that produces 190bhp at 10,000rpm and 145Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. The new flagship KTM's iengine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and quickshifter. The new KTM Superduke 1390 R weighs in at 200.5 kilogrammes This gives the new Superduke 1390 R from KTM, a power-to-weight ratio of 947.63bhp per tonne.
The new Superduke 1390 R sports a powder-coated, Chromium-Molybdenum-Steel trellis frame with a cast aluminium/ composite subframe suspended off a WP APEX 48mm open cartridge fork at the front and a WP APEX-linkage monoshock at the rear. The semi-active suspension setup offers compression, rebound and pre-load adjustment.
Braking duties on the KTM Superduke 1390 R are handled by twin 320mm disc brakes at the front that are clamped down by Brembo Stylema Monobloc four-piston, radially mounted callipers. At the rear, the new Superduke sports a single 240mm disc brake clamped down by a two-piston, fixed calliper. The brakes are aided by Cornering and SuperMoto ABS setup from Bosch.
The KTM Superduke 1390 R rides on 17-inch cast aluminium wheels that are shod with Michelin PowerGP tyres - 120/70 ZR 17 (front) and 200/55 ZR 17 (rear). The new Superduke sports a stainless steel exhaust system that helps it vent its fury at the world.
The new KTM Superduke 1390 R sports a 1,491mm long wheelbase, offers 149mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 834mm. The fuel tank on the Superduke can hold 17.5 litres of petrol which KTM claims gives the super naked a range of 300km on a single tank.
In terms of looks, the 1390 Superduke R is as agressive as it gets with an angular LED headlight that draws attention wherever you go. The Superduke 1390 R also sports a muscular fuel tank with added winglets and spoiler elements for a better aero profile.
The KTM 1390 Superduke R sports a digital display, afull LED lighting setup, multiple riding modes includin updated Performance and Track modes, a lap timer, engine telemetry and TPMS among others.
