KTM India April 2024 Sales: 200 Series Continue To Be The Favourite

The performance-oriented bike manufacturer KTM India has announced their sales breakdown for April 2024. KTM has announced a -3.03% decrease in YoY sales domestically and a -9.65% decrease in export sales. However, the recent launch of the 2024 variant of the KTM Duke 200 and 250 is expected to boost sales in the coming months.

KTM 200 Series (4,740 units)

The KTM Duke 200 and RC 200 were found to be the most popular choices from the KTM fleet, selling 4,740 units in total, 1,757 units exported and 2,983 units sold domestically.

When compared to April 2023, KTM has experienced a minor -0.69% decrease in sales with 4,773 units the previous year. Which is only 33 units more than they sold this year. The 200 series accounts for 43.35% of KTM sales.

KTM 390 Series (3,101 units)

The 390 Series from KTM, consisting of the RC390, the Duke390 and the ADV390, accumulated 3,101 units sold in April 2024 out of which, 2,468units were exported, whereas 633 units were sold domestically.

The 390 Series seems to have lost some traction compared to April 2023 which has 4,650 units sold which is a -33.31% decrease in sales this year. The 390 series accounts for 28.36% of KTMs total sales for April 2024.

KTM 250 Series (1,919 units)

The KTM 250 Adventure and the 250 Duke, in April 2024, sold 1,113 units in the domestic market, and Exported 806 units to other markets, equating to a combined total of 1,919 units sold of the 250 Series, and a 17.55% share of the total sells. Compared to the 1,943 units sold in April 2023, this is only a -1.24% decrease in sales for KTM.

KTM 125 Series (1,173 units)

The smallest brothers in KTM’s fleet, the RC125 and Duke125, combined have sold 1,173 units, 978 units exported and 195 units sold domestically. Compared to April 2023, which sold a total of 811 units, this is an increase of 223.14% in YoY growth and holds 10.73% of KTM total sales for April 2024.

Despite a drop in sales for KTM India in April 2024, there are some positive takeaways. The new 2024 models of the KTM Duke 200 and 250 are expected to boost sales soon.

The 200 Series remains the most popular, making up 43.35% of total sales. The 125 Series saw a big increase, with 223.14% more sales than last year, showing a growing interest in smaller, performance-oriented bikes.
