KTM India Opens Bookings For Big Bikes: 1390 Super Duke, 1290 Adventure, 890 Duke, 890 Adventure R
KTM is gearing up for the official launch of its big bikes in India, with bookings now open for models like the 1390 Super Duke, 890 Duke, and a few other big-capacity motorcycles.
The India launch of these bigger motorcycles is anticipated during the 2024 India Bike Week, scheduled for 6-7 December. These motorcycles will be imported as completely built-up units from Austria, which means they will incur significant import duties.

The KTM Mehkri Circle showroom in Bengaluru is undergoing renovations to become KTM India's first flagship store. Recently, a banner was displayed at the location, announcing the commencement of bookings for several KTM big bikes. This includes models such as the 1390 Super Duke R and 1290 Adventure, along with motocross and enduro motorcycles.
KTM's Big Bikes: Booking Details
Bookings for the 890 Duke, 890 Adventure R, 1290 Duke, and 1390 Super Duke have already begun. The booking amounts vary between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 5 lakh, depending on the model chosen. These motorcycles are expected to be priced competitively within their segment, potentially matching or exceeding rival offerings.

The first batch of deliveries is projected to start in January 2025. As these bikes are imported as CBUs from Austria, they are subject to high import costs. This factor may influence their final pricing in the Indian market.
KTM's strategy involves positioning these bikes competitively against other premium offerings in India. By importing them as CBUs, KTM aims to maintain quality while catering to enthusiasts seeking high-performance motorcycles.

The upcoming launch at India Bike Week marks an important milestone for KTM in expanding its presence in India's premium motorcycle segment. Enthusiasts eagerly anticipate these new models, which promise advanced features and performance capabilities.
KTM's decision to open bookings ahead of the official launch reflects strong demand and interest among Indian consumers. With a range of models set to debut, KTM is poised to make a significant impact on India's motorcycle landscape.
The renovation of the Mehkri Circle showroom underscores KTM's commitment to enhancing customer experience through dedicated flagship stores. This initiative aligns with their broader strategy of strengthening brand presence across key markets globally.
