Kinetic e Luna Launch Today – Here Are Our Top 5 Expectations
Kinetic Luna used to be one of the most popular mopeds of its time in India. Now, the company has planned to revive the 'Luna' name tag by launching the 'e-Luna' electric moped today in India.
That being said, since the Luna is an iconic two-wheeler in Indian automobile history, here are some of our expectations regarding the upcoming electric version of the Luna moped / e-Luna.

Simplicity Is The Key
The original Luna was a simple no-nonsense moped designed to take people from point A to point B with minimal fuss. Also, the original Luna was compact and lightweight, making it very easy to ride even for beginners.
Since the images of the e Luna are already out, we can clearly see that the company has stuck to its original roots by making the e-Luna a simple moped. Furthermore, the e-Luna looks very similar to the original Luna moped.

It Should Be Peppy
While the original Luna is not known for its performance, it offered decent performance for a moped of its segment. However, that is not enough today. Reflecting on modern requirements, we can say that the company has done a decent job with the e-Luna.
In fact, according to the specs revealed on various e-commerce platforms in India, the upcoming electric Luna has a top speed of 52km/h in complete silence, making it a perfect companion for short runs.

No Range Anxiety
Since a majority of electric Luna buyers will be first-time EV buyers and previous Luna owners, the company knows that a large chunk of its buyers will have range anxiety.
Understanding this requirement, the company has made sure the e-Luna will have a range surpassing expectations. In fact, according to e-commerce websites, the e-Luna will have a range of 110km, which is more than plenty for short city runabouts.
Short Charging Time
Given the size of the e-Luna, we expect the model to sport a compact battery pack with a shorter charging time. Leaked details claim that the charging time for e-Luna stands at just 4 hours.
Affordable Pricing
One of the reasons for the success of Luna moped was its pricing, which made it accessible to a large section of Indian consumers. Reflecting this idea, we expect the upcoming e-Luna to bear a price tag that is lower than many of entry-level electric scooters.
Earlier, pricing details of the e-Luna were leaked on many e-commerce websites including Amazon. According to Amazon, the e-Luna is priced at Rs 74,990, which is very affordable compared to many electric scooters today.
